Richard Gordon, Founder and President
Richard Gordon is a trusted advisor to leaders around the world. During a more than 35 year career, Richard has advised candidates and office holders for every office from president of the United States to town council. He has also been a senior strategic advisor to CEOs, corporate presidents and other senior C Suite executives around the globe.
Richard works at the intersection of business, politics, policy and law. He is a strategic advisor who focuses on helping clients create and implement viable plans for expanding their economic footprint and business standing. Much of his work involves B2G, business to government, applications, helping corporate leaders in their dealings with state, local, federal and international governmental opportunities and situations. He is an expert on dealings with the nation’s governors and mayors. |
As a practicing lawyer, an aide and advisor to a number of governors, mayors and members of Congress, Richard has vast experience with the inner workings of government that enables him to assist his clients in a myriad of policy and business matters. He was a senior advisor on policy and political issues throughout Governor, and later Senator, Evan Bayh’s career, served as the head of Mario Cuomo’s political organization, was a state policy director responsible for creating education, environmental, workforce, fiscal and other statewide initiatives, has run an international not-for-profit, in addition to his own consulting business.
Richard is also a commentator and political analyst for television and radio, appearing frequently on WGN-TV’s “Politics Tonight” and on WGN’s radio podcast, “Behind the Curtain”. He is also a sought after lecturer on political, governmental and international affairs. He has lectured at Rutgers University Institute of Public Affairs, War Studies University (Warsaw, Poland) and IDC Herzliya (Herzliya, Israel), among others. Richard is also a frequent corporate speaker, providing insights on the interplay between business, government, and politics. Richard received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Rochester, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is on the board of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics, and is Vice Chair of Blessings in a Backpack, a national organization that feeds students on the weekends. |
